ビジネス会議で、時々耳にする名詞。

初めて接しても、スペルは思い付きやすい。
中級学習者なら、即座に浮かぶはず。

だが、そこから意味は推測しがたい。

では、文脈から分かるかと言えば、
その時々の状況と立場に左右される。

内情に精通した話題ならば、 推測が利く。

” upshot ”  は重要度・頻出度ともランク外。

したがって、英単語全体から見れば、

それでも、 会議やニュースに割と出てくる印象。
