思い出させるための表現

他動詞 ” remind “（ 思い出させる ）由来の可算名詞。

【発音】   rimáind
【音節】   re-mind （2音節）

日本でも「 リマインダー 」は定着しつつある言葉。

他者に何かを思い出させなければならない場面は、
公私問わず、どうしても生じがち。

「 督促状 」が好例で、” reminder ” にはこの意味もある。

  （ 既にお支払い済みでしたら、どうか本督促状はご放念ください。）

「 友好的 」ではなく、相手を思いやる「 好意からの 」くらいの意。

” reminder ” は可算名詞なので、不定冠詞  ” a ” つき。

相手のために自ら行動を起こしているので、 うっとうしく思われたりする。

煩わしく、 押しつけがましい悪印象を避けるためにも、

” a friendly reminder ” は「 念のため 」などと和訳される。
